It's Summer! Imagine all the Parties!

Summertime is finally here, so I thought I would take this opportunity to highlight some of the more seasonal items in my shop! Whether you're keeping cool in the pool or quenching your thirst with an ice cold lemonade, check out Sweet Greets Designs for your party invitations in the hottest months of the year!

1. Under the Sea: Personally I am so proud of my hand drawn mermaid in this one! I just couldn't find a mermaid image I liked, so I made one myself. I also love the swirly nature of the text... it's just so fun and girly. Your little sea queen is sure to love this one!

I can see it now setting the tone of a pool party or even just an indoor ocean-themed soiree. Who doesn't love mermaids?

2. Aloha!: For those of us wishing for the beaches of Hawaii, we can at least pretend we're there by throwing a luau complete with hula dancing and a pig on the spit. (Don't forget the Mai Tais!) Of course, that all starts by sending out this Luau invitation!

What I especially love about this one is its versatility. Just by changing the text, it can easily go from neighborhood block party to little girl's birthday party to bachelorette party.

3. You Are My Sunshine: This sweet lullaby always makes for the perfect backdrop of any baby shower or baby's first birthday. What's great about it is that it's a gender neutral theme. It's also perfect for the summer, so let the sunshine in with this one.

Shown here in teal, orange and yellow, I can customize to any color. In fact, I did one for a customer the other day that made it all yellow and gray. It turned out so precious!

4. Dive on in: As a December baby myself, growing up I was always jealous of the kids that got to have pool parties for their birthdays. This invitation is perfect for your next pool party! The pink background could easily be changed out for lime green for a boy.

This invitation actually has been one of the most popular in my shop since it opened. I think what's nice about it is the bold name and the fun waves. I also love how it just screams SUMMER!

5. Lemonade Stand: Pink, yellow, stripes, bunting and a mason jar? What's not to like about this sweet invitation? The Lemonade Stand party is quickly becoming a staple in the summer-get-together playbook and this invitation is perfect to set the mood.

For those of you not familiar with a Lemonade Stand Party, you literally set up a lemonade stand and serve all kinds of flavored lemonades. Sugar cookies, watermelon and hot dogs all serve as good snacks. What a cute, outside of the box theme for your next party!

So there you have it, five listings in my shop that help you beat the heat this summer! As with every item in my shop, colors and text are customizable and I'm always happy to provide printing quotes that include professional printing, the design and envelopes.

Stay cool my friends!

Oh Boy, That's So Sweet!

So after looking at my shop, I realized something... most of my designs are for the sweet little girls in our lives. It got me thinking... what about all those little boys out there??? I guess because I have a little girl that is what it inspires me most, but I've been trying to add more little boy themes to Sweet Greets over the last couple of weeks. Here are the latest designs:

As you can see, two of them are showers while one is a birthday party, but as always all of my prints are customizable. These are just the first of many to come! I'm also always happy to make custom orders!

Thanks!

Introducing the Welcome Sweet Baby Collection!

Over the next few months, I'm going to be introducing new products to Sweet Greets Designs. Today is the first of three exciting new additions to my shop! I couldn't be happier to present the Welcome Sweet Baby Collection to Sweet Greets Designs.

I've always been inspired by bright colors and bold fonts, so you'll see that theme carried throughout the designs. As with all of my prints, the colors and wording are customizable, and of course, we'll plug in a photo of your precious new arrival.

Without further ado, here they are! Oh, and in case you are wondering, the photos below are of my precious baby girl Adele (even the one I used for the boy ha!) Photos were done by Kelly Garvey Photography who I definitely recommend if you are looking for a newborn photographer!

Sweet Adele Turns 1!

<--------- This adorable little girl happens to be my sweet angel on her first birthday. I of course got the idea for the glittered 1 on Pinterest. All it is glittered paper from Hobby Lobby glued on to a cardboard cut-out. It seriously took me like 15 minutes to make and it came out absolutely precious in all the pics we took. Then on the day of her party, we actually used a bright pink ribbon to hang it on the front door. I love when I can get double-use out of something!

Speaking of her party, you know I went all out on cute printables! I went with a pink and yellow circus theme and everything came together just how I imagined it would. It was a great day filled with family, friends and cupcakes! Adele had a wonderful time even if she won't remember it, lol. At least I have hundreds of pictures to share with her one day.

I decided to list the invitation I created for her party in my Etsy shop because it was just so cute!

I also created stickers for the cups I bought that just had a simple 1 on them as well as food labels. Both of those items I printed on craft paper for that extra shabby chic touch that I was going for. Though these items are not listed in my shop, I am always happy to create a customized listing for anyone who is interested in receiving these as well.

Other items I created for the party include these adorable cake stands. I was so happy with the end result of those that in the coming months, I'm going to expand my shop to include cake stands! Let me know if you're interested in placing a pre-order!

As always, visit my Etsy shop for more ideas on your next party!

The Unfading Beauty of a Gentle & Quiet Spirit...

Once you get to know me, you know that when it comes to home decor everything has to be just perfect! We recently moved into a new home in which my daughter Adele will have her own bathroom (for the time being at least). I wanted her to have something special in there and I happened to stumble across this Bible verse on Pinterest: It is not fancy hair, gold jewelry or fine clothes that should make you beautiful. Instead, it should be that of you inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. -1 Peter 3:3-4.

What a perfect message for a little girl to grow up reading - especially in today's world!

In designing the prints, I decided to spread it across three 5x7s. I chose teal, hot pink and lime green to match the colors in her bathroom. Once I had the designs the way I wanted them, I actually printed them at Wal-Mart as mounted photos. I love the finished result!

I was so happy with it, I listed it in my Etsy shop. Also, as a special gift to my blog readers, use the coupon code BEAUTY at checkout to get 10% off your purchase of these adorable prints! As always, I'm happy to customize colors.
